New single, “Outside,” available now

Today I’m releasing the second single from the upcoming EP. “Outside” drips with late-night indie rock atmosphere, evoking the neon lights and sounds of a world coming alive after dark. Rhythmic, distorted guitar and bass set the scene alongside the vocal harmonies, while the pulsing beat and lead guitar bring disco elements to the track. Outside was written as an ode to city nightlife, with the narrator imagining how revelers feel dancing in a club or laughing loudly beside the bar.

The song also contains an element of melancholy throughout, especially noticeable in the bridge, as the listener realizes the distance the narrator feels from what he is describing; a palpable hollowness despite the romanticization of the evening’s activity.
